“Our country is ruled by a bunch of hypocrites, our youth is lost and confused, we need to do something about this and that, my girlfriend dumped me”, yada yada yada, whatever. Have any idea of what I’m saying? Guess I could do this for twenty, thirty paragraphs, but the thing about lazy people is that we never take the long way.
My name is Zack and I live in a Portuguese small town, so as my parents and most of my friends. I’m in a band, but we have no success at all and sometimes I feel like no one understands us. I really think we’re better that almost everything we ear on the radio nowadays. Wish we had a shot to prove it… get our message to pass…
We mostly sing about issues. Government, church, girlfriends, life… It’s kind of weird that no one really identifies with our songs. I don’t seem to get it and I’m oh so frustrated.
É que, tipo, se eu chegar à minha mãe e disser “can you please make me a tuna sandwish?”, ela provavelmente dá-me uma bofetada, porque pensa que a estou a insultar.
Do I make myself clear? I can always write a song about it…
